NJ EAST CENTRAL SOUTH SECTION
Royal Rangers Roundtable
December 6, 2021
Opening Prayer – Steve Martin
Devotion – Skip Sliker
We need support from the pastors, etc. in the district for the Royal Rangers ministry. There used to be 134 outposts in the district. We have more non-AG churches with Rangers than AG churches. Need to have a Gideon to arise for Royal Rangers. Currently there’s nobody available to take over Academy if current leadership can’t.
Sectional Leaders Report – John Fudalik
Checking out Powwow possibilities.
Current State regulations: Only siblings can stay in same tent. Any equipment used must be cleaned between each person.
Turkey Swamp – Lodge isn’t available (we usually use that in case of storms)
Ralph asked about possibility of going out of state for Powwow to somewhere with not as many restrictions.
Chartering – Al Barber
21 Outposts chartered in the state – 85 leaders, 238 boys.
Each year for the past 10 years, numbers have been going down.
ECSS is largest section in NJ.
Email Al if you want copy of district report.
If you’re on the Not Chartered side, please charter!
Asbury outpost is active, but Tom hasn’t been able to connect much with them to get them plugged into the section.
We need to look at the responsibility the outpost has to the section to charter instead of just asking what the benefit of chartering is to the outpost.
As a reminder, Chartered outposts should be paying 15% less than non-chartered outposts for events such as Powwows, etc.
Training – Al Barber

Scott Adams offering to teach Silver Merit Electricity 101 to more than just his outpost; would take 3-4 Saturdays, probably about a minimum of an hour each day, or possibly 4 hours on one Saturday. Needs headcount, email addresses for what commanders & boys are interested. Outposts that have high school kids Need 3 commanders to help out.
Startup outposts – new outposts don’t know how to get started with the curriculum. Scott created a spreadsheet in Google Sheets that he will share for comments and input.
Next Roundtable meeting:
Date: Jan 10, 2022
Location: Calvary Lighthouse
Devotion: Ben Martin
Closing prayer – Scott Adams
