1 Cor 13:4-5 Dave Wilkerson – The growing Christian is one who is growing in their capacity to love. V5 – Love is not easily offended. Without a biblical foundation of love, within any group, it’s only a matter of time until the fleshly nature shows itself. “Doing the Bible” is easier read or said than done. As iron sharpens iron – when men commit to a ministry, stuff happens that in the natural causes people to “take a step back.” It’s more important to “do the Bible” than it is for us to teach it…kids know deep inside that it’s the truth, but they need to see it lived out.

Sectional Leaders Report – John Fudalik

  • 9-12 months to get back in his house. Thanks everyone for their prayers.
  • 2nd place “Best Section” at District PowWow.

Deputy Commanders Report – Aaron Biernacki

Feedback from District PowWow – kids had a great time Gaga Ball. Activities were good…good team-building. Speaker was good. Altar service was “amazing;” “one of the best we’ve had.” Attendance a little more than last year. Next year rule: no boys can bring trash to the dumpsters…trash and a tent were put in recycling, etc.

  • Staff uniform: Utility Uniform; Outpost Commanders should be in same uniform as the boys.

  • Oct 20 @ Capital AG Ranger Basics $25; Essentials $25; First Aid/CPR $50 Register on District website. Roundtable Friday night; can sleep over (no showers).
  • Jan 17-18 EMPOWER 19 @ Red Lion Inn, Harrisburg, PA. Room rate $84/night. Registration usually comes out in Nov.
  • Oct 26 NEEC has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Sectional PowWow – Oct 12-14
  • Camporama – July 2020 – start planning now. Richland – camp about halfway out there $25.

Miscellaneous/Open discussion

  • Oct 20 – Rock Climbing at Allamuchy State Park – Contact Bob Bell $45. Good for Rock Climbing merit.
  • Black Powder – John will have info by November. Age group: AR, ER

Finances: tabled until next meeting to give John time to get together because of house fire.

Ranger Derby – Steve Martin

  • GAP still good for next year.
  • Check March 2 or 9.
  • Derby Patch contest – ask SkyZone, etc.
  • Rhoda will make up Sectional letterhead for sectional solicitation letters.
  • John will get bulk cars. Aaron will develop order form for cars.
