Who are we listening to, and who are our boys listening to? Prov. 9:4, 16 Wisdom & knowledge speaking, folly speaking. We have to be careful to listen to and to speak to our boys from the side of wisdom & knowledge, not folly.

Sectional Leaders Report – John Fudalik

PowWow coming up this weekend.
We don’t have to supply anything for the event (Obstacle Course) 9:30-2:15
Need some people to be involved in running the event.
John will be at archery range in afternoon.
3:00-4:30 Friday – ECSS responsible for the gate
Don’t take too big of an area for your outpost’s campsite.

Chartering – Al Barber

It’s chartering season.
Need to charter for 15% discount at GPH, Regional & National conferences, training, etc.
Only chartered outpost are covered by Rangers insurance at events.
Additional 15% charge at District PowWow if not chartered.

Concern: some churches disbanding Rangers or only running younger ages and stopping before the older groups.

Training – Al Barber

Last of NRMCs was last weekend. Nothing else on the schedule for this area for the rest of the year.
Possible Ranger Basics in October…?
Oct. 21 – Royal Rangers Foundational Training (email sent from Ellwood May 7th)
Online training – 8 different classes available

Discussion: It’s time for us to use the trainers in our section to offer training for the commanders that need it, without waiting for the district. Will do more planning after the PowWow.

EMPOWER 18 – March 16-17 in Harrisburg.

Feb. 8 – National conference.
