Personal Growth – as leaders, we’re working with the boys to advance and grow; mentoring them to grow into Godly, Christlike servant leaders. They need to see us growing personally as well. Our commitment to personal growth determines our level of success or failure. Growth needs to be planned and needs deliberate effort; needs effort on our part; requires a shift in personal responsibilities. Need to invest time into ourselves if we want to grow personally.
1 Tim 4:13-16
Words that stand out: Devote yourself, public reading, preaching, teaching diligent, persevere. All these require effort. Our growth should be evident to others…this is proof of our growth.
The boys can see whether or not we’re growing…they can spot a fake.

1.  Take an honest look at yourself…your strengths and weaknesses; develop a plan to improve on your weaknesses.
2.  Determine that you are a priority. You are valuable; determine to put time and effort into growing.
3.  Personal growth will always cost something – finances, time will be affected…It will always seem like you don’t have enough…you’ll always be “too busy”…
4.  There will always be things in your life that will kill your personal growth…laziness, insecurity…we tend to care more about looking good than being good…pride…is it keeping you from asking for help and growing. It’s easy to put the blame elsewhere instead of taking responsibility for staying where we are.

Chartering – Al Barber

This is the season for chartering…please get them in on time. The quicker we get it in, the more money the district has for their upcoming year’s budget. DEADLINE: Oct. 31

Training – Al Barber

NRMC training was just held in Penn-Del section

Oct 26-27 Dublin, VA NEEC (more emphasis on Ranger Kids)

October 20th at Capital A/GOD in Hamilton (Trenton) – Ranger Basics, Ranger Essentials, and First Aid/CPR.

Empower 19 Regional Conference – January 17-19 in Harrisburg.
John will contact Bill Reiger regarding possibly having a Black Powder class.

LEAD Conference – March in Dayton, OH

District PowWow – Sept. 21-23

John will bring cones for the sectional games.

Sectional PowWow – Oct 12-14 at Allaire (same theme as was planned for June)

Aaron will send out a email to register the outpost teams.
