Samaritan Woman passage from John – when you accept Christ as Savior, the contaminated water that was in our “cups” is replaced by clear, purified water that He gives us.

Commanders Report: John F.

• Will keep Zoom meetings going on so that people can still attend online.
• Looking for applications for a Deputy Sectional Commander…someone that will be active

Chartering: Al B.

• 19 outposts chartered; last year 29 by this point.
• ECSS has 5 that aren’t chartered; hasn’t heard from anyone.
• John has emailed all from last time; Jeff said they’d be chartering.
• Outpost 25 – Tom said he’d help one week/month if needed, but not sure if they’re going to be chartering.

Training: Al B.

• All commanders must retake Ranger Safety training (online) every three years.
  April 16-17 – WCO City Church, Binghamton, NY 16 & 17
  May 7-8 – NEEC – trying to get enough registrants to hold the course.
• Register online for these courses.

• Foundations course has replaced Ranger Basics – 15 modules; must complete all 15 to receive certificate & patch.

FCF:

• Need Sectional FCF rep. In charge or all sectional Council Fires, FCF competitions,

Ranger Derby: Steve M.   Yes/ no  postpone

• Virtual Ranger Derby – who’d be interested? How many outposts, how many cars?
• Steve, Ralph.
• No boys on site; virtual logistics to be worked out.
• Sat., May 22^nd – tentative date at GAP Fellowship Hall.

Pow Wow:

• weekend yes/ no
• day event yes/no
• Yes, there can be camping, but campsite rules are that unless there are siblings, every boy must have their own tent.
• As long as guidelines are followed, we could have a day event.
• Maybe run like Winter Day, where outposts that have enough tents can camp out overnight, and then have activities during the day.
• Possibility of having event at Wall; Tom & John will meet with Pastor Timm about logistics.
• Everyone start thinking of event ideas.
• Include Ranger Kids Field Day events.
• Design a T-shirt for everyone who attends.

Up Coming Dates:

• Clean up @ Camp Blueberry      April 24, 2021
• Trace             April 30 to May 2, 2021
• Academy       Aug. 15 -21, 2021

Academy –

• Staff will need background checks done; Tom will bring notary supplies to next Roundtable.

Finances:

• Starting Balance:   2,498.93

Friends of the NRA Grant – John hasn’t heard yet how much he’s getting, but plans to upgrade BB guns and archery equipment as funds become available. Will reapply each year.
