Opening Prayer – John Marmion

1 Sam 3:1-10 – when Samuel first hears the voice of God speaking to him. Silent and listen are both spelled with the same letters. Listening & responding are vital in our relationship with God. We must be ready to listen and act upon what He tells us…respond “Here I am” when He tells us to do something. God’s chain of command is based on faith, not position. This year, be silent and listen…be ready and prepared for the Lord to work at any time, at any place, and through anyone He chooses. Is. 44:18-19 Forget the former things…I am doing a new thing… We’re going into 2020, and want to see this ministry grow. Before that, as leaders, we need to be silent and listen and see what God wants to tell us…He’s calling us to be men of God; if we aren’t, we can’t help the young boys in the outposts grow into men of God. Expect the greater things.

Sectional Leaders Report – John Fudalik

Aaron is stepping down as Deputy Commanders…the church has stopped Rangers. John will make up a list of sectional positions and see if interest is still there by those currently in those positions; if not, he’ll have discussions with possible replacements.

As of Saturday, Jan. 11, Ben & Jesse Martin (Outpost 118) will have their GMA…Congratulations!

Sectional PowWow – At Quail Hill. Saving over $500 in camping fees this year! Finding out if we have to do complete cleanup since other groups are there. The lodge will be for commanders & ladies. BB Gun activity.                 Bring ideas regarding pricing…should we reduce the price to encourage more participation? Give all participants a (t-shirt, something…)? NEED: Theme, patch ideas. Bring theme ideas to next meeting.

• NE Region Empower 20 – Jan 17-18, 2020 – Ranger Basics, First Aid/CPR and more. Rates for rooms are good until 1/12. Tom Buck offering hospitality in his room Thursday, Saturday nights.

Ranger Derby: Feb. 29, 2020

• Need patch artwork
• $5, $7, $10 (Monday, Friday, Saturday)
• Let Steve know if you want to help in the kitchen
• Set up “practice track” on Monday night to make sure registered cars go all the way down the track.
• No loose glitter…send back any cars brought on Monday night with loose glitter to be clear coated; no additional cost for returning, but must be re-weighed.
• Don’t paint the bottom of the cars.
• Rhoda will send out car numbers to senior commanders
• Derby registration night: Monday, Feb. 24

Miscellaneous/Open discussion

Potluck dinner…Friday, Mar. 27 – invite the Senior pastors, youth pastors. Maybe work the dinner like a Rangers meeting…opening ceremonies, devotion, Bible lesson, Skill merit, have the pastors learn knot tying, contest on who can finish first…think of ideas.
